We recently tried this nearby restaurant. We enjoyed the Chicken Korma, Vegetable Samosas, and vegetable Biryani rice. The service was great and I liked the decor.

I have eaten here for lunch & dinner. The food is heavenly and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the lunch special. It was great because it had so many different items to try. It was served on a tray with spaces for each item, a salad, your entree, your choice of rice, soup, and a dish made with garbanzo beans & of course the delicious naan. I have eaten at well know and expensive restaurants. If you like Indian food, I can't imagine a better place to try. The waiter was very attentive & kind. I can't wait to go back.

Change of ownership roughly 6-8 months ago. This is no longer a regular stop in my rotation. Small sample size (2 visits since change of ownership). Rating 4 due to sample size. Not what it once was probably closer to 3/3.5

My friend and I appreciated that they were open Thanksgiving Day since our family gatherings were on a different day! I had the Vegetarian Pumpkin Curry and she had the Chicken Pumpkin Curry and both were outstanding! We also had the Samosa Chaat for an appetizer and Naan bread, and she had a little serving of rice, and those were all very delicious! It was my treat and I especially appreciated that they did not charge me for the rice!! I was so pleasantly surprised and touched. The owner came and chatted with us and made sure that everything was good. They are such kind people! I'm a regular customer and will continue to be!

Food is always delicious at Everest Indian Restaurant. However the new owners as of two years ago kept the name Everest but the food is actually Nepalese which is very similar. Tucked away in the Safeway shopping center at the corner of Sonoma Highway and Calistoga Road in Santa Rosa, this hidden gem provides very tasty array of food choices. You will see on the menu familiar Indian and Nepalese favorites like Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Korma, Samosas, Naan bread, etc. The chef owner is a very gentle unassuming woman who cooks up wonderful fresh food. Everest offers take out as well as dine in and their lunch special, vegetarian or not is a deal at $14.95 includes salad, dal soup, rice, naan bread, a vegetable and protein of you choice. I particularly like that I request no extra salt added if possible due to dietary restrictions.

First time at this Indian restaurant. Had the lunch special and chose the chicken tikka masala. The lunch came with basmati rice.naan and a lentil soup and a salad. The soup was very good with the tasty lentils, salad was with specialty lettuce, also very good and I chose the medium spicy for the masala. It was very good. The restaurant has a check in special that gives 10% off the meal, but our server had no idea what that was, and that he needed to talk with the owner. Ambiance for the place that is in a strip mall was a typical Indian restaurant, very few patrons during our visit. I would return, maybe next time will get that 10% discount.

Full disclosure - I am not by any means an Indian food expert. However that being said, everything we ordered tasted delicious! Was it authentic? Dunno. But it was darn good! We ordered samosas, chicken madrasi, shrimp biryani, lamb tikka masala, and aloo naan. It was a generous amount of food; fed 4 servings. Everything was delicious! We are close by so everything was hot and texturally what you expect which is always a bonus in take out. The samosas were huge! Giant pockets of potatoey goodness. 2 per order. My only recommendation would be call the restaurant directly, don't use a food service. We called to verify pick up time and they were cooking it to be ready almost 40 minutes before the order service told us to expect it. That would have made for a very sad food experience, but we called and they told us it would be ready in 5 minutes. So glad we called!! The lamb was tender, not gamey, fork tender, and simply yummy. It's not a meat many cuisines use so it was nice to have something a little different for a change. I cook lamb chops but I have a hard time enjoying it from restaurants more often than not so I am super glad it was a successful choice. We were both surprised overall with the flavors of the meal - so good!

A solid win! The food and service were very good. We ate lunch here on our way to a neighborhood nursery. Quite surprised as they are in a small strip center. A lady eating lunch outside said she eats there frequently, highly recommended. I had the apricot chicken... wow! Very flavorful, moderate spicy. Came with Rita, basmati rice, other sides including a small salad. More than enough for lunch. Try it, you'll like it.

Lovely neighborhood restaurant in the St Francis Center near the Safeway Friendly greeting as I entered for lunch. Very tranquil inside with attractive decor. My piping hot lunch included yellow pea soup, salad with a tasty dressing , chickpea and spinach dish, a curried vegetable dish, bread, mango chutney and cucumber/ yogurt taita. And rice.v Lunch was serv d on a metal tray with individual cups of the food. Service was pleasant. Highly recommend to clients who want to explore foods from India, Nepal and Tuber. Personally I found the food rather bland but all seemed very fresh, good quality and made with care.
